ASIS’s roots are found in design, engineering and materials science. These three competences are as important today as they were 20 years ago when we started developing and producing office chairs. The ASIS team of creative designers and skilled engineers are encouraged to freely discuss new ideas, cooperate & collaborate to harness the power of their combined talents to continuously develop new innovative concepts. We create design-led products that are safe and comfortable. Quality and comfort is at the very heart of everything we design & produce – every ASIS product has passed multiple international testing standards (BIFMA) and when/where possible we have active registered patents in Asia, Europe and North America.
Innovation requires a continuous search for the best raw materials, production methods and engineering excellence. Our workers are genuine skilled craftsmen, trained in-house who through their passion for the Brand ensure our exacting quality standards are maintained.
Our growing international customer base now includes:
SAMSUNG, Hermes Paris, Novartis, Saatchi Saatchi, Hilton Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels, Bose, Ferrari, Maserati, CITI, HSBC, Lexus, AUDI, Rabobank, L’Occitane and Standard Chartered just to name a few.
In 2015/16 we decided to relocate our ASIS R&D, Design department and showroom into the prestigious Guangzhou Opera House, designed by the world famous architect Zaha Hadid. Located in the heart of Guangzhou’s cultural site(s) development, it is a lasting, state-of-the-art monument to the new millennium overlooking the Pearl River. Its contoured profile, unique twin boulder design and approach promenade enhances urban function, opens access to the riverside and dock areas and creates a new dialogue with the emerging town. No other location could be such a perfect match with our ASIS philosophy and be a truly inspiring environment for our designers and engineers to create the next generation of chairs.
Enhancing the wellbeing of office based workers in today’s workplaces is ASIS’ s guiding philosophy – People spend one-third of their life ‘working’. We at ASIS focus on people’s needs, we collaborate with some of the worlds leading specialists in osteology and neurology to conduct ergonomic research that in-turn becomes an intrinsic part of any product design.
As a headline, our research data shows that sitting on an office chair with an unhealthy posture for more than two hours every day can cause disc herniation and varicose symptoms. Such research has proved invaluable and has been the guiding design principals for our chair portfolio that we offer today.
